Join the uke revolution!
Bishops Stortford Ukulele Society (Bsus) now meets in the Royal British Legion Club, 28 Windhill, Bishops Stortford every Wednesday from 7.30pm to 10.00pm. Just come along, bring your uke, and have fun. To find the half Moon see the map and see the Diary for dates of our practice sessions and gigs.
All abilities welcome!
Our members are at all levels and we even have one or two experts. You can come for some or all of the session, the first half hour is for beginners/learners to try simple strum techniques and chord changes etc. We then have a general session of favourites and new songs till 9.20pm, after a short break there is a "round the table" for those wishing to perform a song. We pay £4 a session and the British Legion has great ale and good wine so have a drink to accompany your playing. Contact us for more information.
Gigs and Sessions
We usually have slots at the Stortford Music Festival in May and Hatfield Forest Woodfest in September. We also play local fetes and festivals, private parties and we organise a couple of charity gigs each year. See the Diary
for dates of our gigs and sessions. As well as these and the regular Monday sessions you will also find ukes at the open music sessions around Bishops Stortford - see the Uke Scene
page for details of these.
